Arsenal will face either PSV Eindhoven or Feyenoord in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Arsenal and the other 15 remaining teams in the competition will find out their opposition and potential route to the final on Friday morning when the knockout stage draw is made.
PSV knocked out Juventus on Wednesday to progress as the final team from the play-off stage.
Meanwhile, managerless Feyenoord saw off AC Milan in the play-off to reach the last 16.
The Athletic are reporting that former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is on the verge of being appointed Feyenoord's new boss.
It raises the possibility of a potential reunion for Van Persie with the team he left in 2012 to controversially join Man Utd.
