According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal is eyeing a return for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins if they fail to secure deals for RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko or Sporting CP's Viktor Gyökeres. Watkins, aged 29, had a £40 million bid from Arsenal rejected in January, as it was roughly half of Villa's valuation; he then scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists in 54 appearances. Arsenal's inability to sign a striker last season affected them when Kai Havertz was injured, prompting their eagerness to finalize a deal this summer. Sesko, 21, is their top priority, with Bild reporting that Leipzig has lowered his transfer fee to around €70 million, while Gyökeres, 27, reportedly prefers a move to Manchester United for a similar amount.
