On the recommendation of Jorge Jesus, Al Nassr is attempting to hijack Zenit's deal for Gerson from Flamengo.

The Arabs initiated contacts about a week ago, following Flamengo's victory over Chelsea, and are trying to seduce the midfielder with a salary offer significantly higher than that of the Russians.

Al Nassr will keep trying to convince Gerson. Due to the upcoming Flamengo vs. Bayern match, negotiations will only proceed next week.

The Arabs are aware that Gerson has an agreement with Zenit, but they vow to make every effort until the Russians deposit the release clause of 25 million euros (R$ 160 million) into Flamengo's account.

If Zenit's offer is triple the salary that the number 8 receives at Fla, Al Nassr is offering even more. The 'Jorge Jesus factor' is also being leveraged in the persuasion.
