Official: Brazilian star Neymar has returned to his parent club Santos on a free transfer and will wear the number 10 shirt.
According to earlier reports in the Brazilian media, Neymar and Santos signed a short contract of about six months, with a basic monthly salary of 1 million reais (about €164,000), plus 90% of the image rights.
In August 2023, Neymar joined Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal Saudi for a transfer fee of €90 million,but he suffered serious injuries during his two seasons in Saudi Arabia and ended up playing only 7 times for the team, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists.
Neymar joined Santos in 2004 and was promoted to the first team in 2009. He has made 225 appearances for Santos, scoring 136 goals. He won the South American Libertadores Cup, the Brazilian Cup and the South American Cup Winners' Cup with the team. In the summer of 2013, Neymar joined Barcelona for a fee of €88 million and began his European journey.
