
Ange: Deal for Juve-bound Muani was never close

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou admits the club were interested in Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani - but a deal was never close for the Frenchman to join.
Muani is set to join Juventus on a loan deal until the end of the season from PSG.
Asked whether it was a big setback missing out on Muani, Postecoglou replied: “No.”
Questioned whether the club were in for him, he said: “We were in. Well, it depends what you mean by ‘in’.
"We’d been interested and are looking at a number of players but did we get to the point where we thought he was coming to us? No.”
He added on Spurs' January business: “The club’s working as hard as it can so that’s all you can ask for.
"January’s not an easy month but I do know a lot of work is being done behind the scenes to try and get some reinforcements in.”
