Newcastle vs Crystal Palace
Match preview
The Toon were dominant against Manchester United, forcing the Red Devils into 13 turnovers and creating six good chances.
The win was Newcastle's fifth in a row, and while they will be disappointed to have conceded on Sunday, United's goal was only the third time in five games that the Magpies have conceded.
Eddie Howe's men have also been prolific in the final third, finding the back of the net 11 times in their last four games.
Howe missed the game against Manchester United after being taken to hospital with a bout of pneumonia, and the England manager will not return to the sidelines on Wednesday, with assistant Jason Tindall set to take charge once again.
Victory for the Magpies would be crucial to their Champions League chances, as three points would move them above Nottingham Forest into third place, and 59 points would be five more than sixth-placed Chelsea with just six games remaining.
Newcastle have won four of their last five matches at St James' Park and have won six and lost two of their last eight home Premier League games.
Opponents Crystal Palace were 2-0 up against Manchester City in the 21st minute, but the score was level by the 36th minute.
Boss Oliver Glasner will be concerned that his side created 12 good chances, although they had conceded more than once in the previous 10 games and kept five clean sheets.
The Eagles have enjoyed a remarkable second half of the season, losing only four of their last 18 Premier League games and winning 10 of them.
The visitors may have been beaten by City, but they have won six and drawn one of their last seven games in all competitions.
Palace drew 1-1 with Newcastle in the reverse fixture on 30 November, and their record against the hosts is fairly even, with two wins, two losses and four draws in their last eight top-flight encounters.
While Glasner's side are winless in their last two away games - losing once - they have won each of their previous six away games without conceding and have scored 13 times.
