Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw at home by relegation-threatened Ipswich Town on Sunday, leaving the Blues looking over their shoulders in the race for a lucrative Champions League spot next season.
The visitors stunned Enzo Maresca's men as they raced into a 2-0 lead with just over half an hour on the clock, despite being pinned back in their own half in the opening stages.
Ipswich's Paraguayan striker Julio Enciso burst through the Chelsea defence to head home right-back Ben Johnson's cross in the 19th minute.
Twelve minutes later, Enciso returned the favour by crossing for Johnson to head home. Chelsea struggled to regain their momentum and were jeered by the home fans at the half-time whistle.
An own goal from Axel Tuanzebe just after the break gave Chelsea hope, and substitute Jadon Sancho curled a 79th-minute effort into the top corner to set up a frantic final in which both sides went close to winning the game.
Ipswich goalkeeper Alex Palmer made a fine point-blank save from Trevoh Chalobah in the 85th minute, before denying Enzo Fernández and Cole Palmer in stoppage time.
The draw leaves Chelsea outside the five Champions League places, but they remain two points behind Newcastle United with a game in hand.
Chelsea had won their previous five league games at home but have not won away since December, when they suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to Ipswich at Portman Road.
The west Londoners now face tougher opposition in their final six games of the season, including Liverpool and Newcastle United.
