AC Milan are said to be very interested in Chelsea attacker João Félix.
The Serie A giants are apparently looking to sign the Portugal international, according to Sky Germany.João Félix moved to Chelsea from Atlético Madrid just over the summer. The transfer to Stamford Bridge was worth £42 million plus £4.3 million in add-ons.
He signed a seven-year contract, but now the club might sell him because other teams are interested in him.
Last season, João Félix was loaned to Barcelona by Atletico Madrid, scoring 10 goals and setting up 7 more in 44 games, but he didn't play for more than 60 minutes on average each game. After the loan ended, he once played in the pre-season game in Hong Kong(China) with Atletico Madrid, but eventually left to join Chelsea.
This season, he's played 19 times for Chelsea, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists, but he's not one of the regular main players. In Premier league, he's only averaged 34 minutes per game, and he's played more in the cup games. He's done well in the UEFA Conference League and the FA Cup, but he's still finding it hard to get regular playing time in the Premier League.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Understand AC Milan are now very interested in João Félix. Meanwhile, there is still no sign of a transfer for Marcus Rashford. Negotiations are complicated due to the massive financial package involved.”
After TeamTalk reported that the new Milan manager, Sergio Conceicao, is keen to bring his Portuguese compatriot to San Siro, the rumours have started doing the rounds. The boss knows João Félix well, and they've got the same agent, Jorge Mendes, which could make it easier to sort out a deal.
Milan want to secure João Félix on loan with an option to buy, but Chelsea are currently holding out for either a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy. The clubs are in talks and TeamTalk says there'll be more chats over the next few days.
