West Ham are drawing up a list of strikers to target this month with Brighton's Evan Ferguson, Wolves' Hwang Hee-Chan and Middlesbrough's Emmanuel Latte Lath all under consideration, according to the Daily Telegraph.
West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen looks set for around six weeks on the sidelines with a fractured foot sustained in their game with Liverpool during the festive period.
Bowen limped off in the 60th minute as Julen Lopetegui's side were hammered at the London Stadium and no timescale has been given for his return.
The Hammers are light in attack, and are already without Michail Antonio following his recent car accident.
